At Sono Karate we have created an environment for members to enjoy the unique benefits of traditional Shotokan Karate on the mind and body, giving confidence and self belief, with the core training emphasis on personal development.

Yes, of course we learn a martial art, but at Sono Karate we pride ourselves on developing good people whilst nurturing life skills such as respect, having a positive mental attitude, perseverance and confidence, alongside encouraging individual personalities.

Our Instructors have over a decade of teaching, are English Karate Federation (EKF) Accredited Coaches along with World Federation (WKF) Accredited Coach qualifications.

With experience in coaching and competing for over 10 years in both the UK and Europe, winning National, International, European and even World titles along the way.

So why not come along and give it a try! Train alongside others that also started at small schools and worked their way up to being champions.

We also hold a weekly squad class that builds on their traditional training, working on skills to enable them to progress to enter national competitions representing Sono Karate and work their way to being on the English National Squad.

Sono Karate is part of the British Martial Arts & Boxing Association (BMABA). This is Uk's largest independant martial arts body.
